BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will strategize to identify, prioritize and pursue new and existing opportunities in all potential markets. The role requires an ability to quickly understand new technologies and business models and be able to evaluate their relevance to Nexgen’s overall vision. Likewise, the Business Development Manager will be expected to generate original ideas and initiatives quickly and capitalize on such initiatives. The Business Development Manager will play an integral role in the success of Nexgen’s startup operations in India.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and strengthening relationships with clients and strategic partners and developing a deep understanding of their changing requirements and long-term business strategies.
  • Define and execute targeted product campaigns (email, cold-calling, etc.) and forecast quarterly projections.
  • Negotiating and closing complex deals that benefit Nexgen, including reseller agreements, referral agreements and co-marketing agreements.
  • Working closely with company management to understand their strategic priorities and creatively identify partnership opportunities to support those priorities.
  • Building business plans and models which demonstrate the financial potential for new opportunities.
  • Establishing metrics to analyze and track performance.
  • Overseeing day-to-day office operations.

Professional Qualification:

  • Ability to succeed in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization, as both a team player and an individual contributor.
  • Familiarity with software technology business.
  • At least 3-5 years of strategic alliance or business development experience in the information technology industries.
  • Affinity for building, managing and enhancing win-win business relationships.
  • Capacity to understand the big picture while maintaining a penchant for detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, computer science or technical engineering. MBA preferred. Equivalent work experience highly considered.
